Born and raised in Victoria, Shawn first discovered his love for construction while completing the carpentry program at Victoria High School in 1997. He began his career in interior remodelling and design, moving towards complete rebuilds and new construction to complete dozens of single family homes and duplexes throughout the region by 2020.

New Byld Developments brings that experience to build projects that are fully under Shawn’s supervision. As a licensed residential builder, Shawn leads every project personally, ensuring clear communication, solid craftsmanship, and respect for each client’s vision and practical requirements.

Shawn believes in staying connected to the community he builds in, and is known for working closely with the neighbourhoods in which he works. For the past ten years, he has been part of the Quadra Cedar Hill Community Association. Over the last five years he has worked with Saanich to organize the annual Music in the Park event at Rutledge Park.

New Byld is a reflection of that same commitment: local, dependable, and a collaborative and respectful building process for all involved.
